The publication is available to download for free online, and will be released in printed form later in January.
The publication contains 14 thematic chapters: geographical characteristics, economy and finance, entrepreneurship, population, labor market, health care, education and culture, social conditions, industry, construction and trade, transport and tourism, foreign trade, agriculture, energy, science, information and communication technologies.
It is the 71st time the yearbook has been produced, with the first one appearing in 1921. The new publication reflects data on 2017 compared to previous years. Available in both Latvian and English, Statistical Yearbook of Latvia is the most extensive of all statistical publications released by the CSB.
