"We have agreed for the time being that it'll be 10 euros," PM Maris Kucinskis told the press after the coalition had approved the wage raise on Thursday.
The coalition agreed to raise the wages following a meeting with Latvia's Employers Confederation and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said Kučinskis.
Now the wage bump has been confirmed by the government as well.
The Welfare Ministry previously advocated raising the minimum wage by €37 to €407.
The minimum wage in Estonia is €430, and €380 in Lithuania.
