The State Police (VP) are on a manhunt for an exchange student from Germany who has gone missing for a week, national information agency LETA reported Friday.

On Thursday the VP received a missing person report from fellow students and family of Stefan Engelbrecht, who haven’t seen the 23 year-old since January 23. He was last seen at one of Riga’s Old Town entertainment establishments.

The red-haired, bearded young man is 194 cm tall, wears black horn-rimmed glasses and weighs about 120 kg. He may be wearing his signature brown hat with a white-and-orange bird depicted on it.

Anyone with information about the missing man’s possible location are urged to call the VP’s Kurzeme district precinct by phone: 67 070 800 (or 110).
