As the Belarus Embassy’s press service informed LETA Thursday, Minsk Days in Riga will launch with a concert at the Culture Palace Ziemelblazma Thursday at 19:00, featuring the state ensemble Pesnyari, choreography group Horoshki and vocal group Chistiy golos.
On Friday representatives from Latvia’s business sector will learn about the investment and export potential of the Belarus capital, including the ease of registering a new company in Minsk’s Free-Economic-Zone as well as customs union and common economic zone regulations. Projects in the construction, food processing and innovation sectors will be on the table for discussions amongst the businesspersons making contacts and establishing cooperation during the forum.
At 18:00 hours on Friday a friendship match between the club teams Youth-Minsk and the Riga School of Hockey will take place at the Volvo Sports Center.
While in Riga for Minsk Days, the delegation from Belarus will visit various infrastructural and industrial objects, medical, education and social care facilities around town.
With their Latvian counterparts and colleagues the Minsk representatives will discuss current matters in the fields of economics, health care, education, social policy toward youth unemployment.
Also opening tonight at the Ziemelblazma Culture Palace is a photo exhibit dedicated to Minsk entitled “City under the Century’s Sun”. It will be open to the public until October 23.
