The time tickets are expected to cost €1.15 (€0.60 on holidays) for holders of the Riga Card and €2.3 for the rest.
The Riga Card is for people whose declared place of residency is in Rīga, meaning it's likely they are paying taxes to the city as well.
Holders of the card will also be provided a 20% parking discount in zones B, C, and D.
The new prices have to be upheld by the Ministry for Environment and Regional Development.
Prior to this, the municipality announced a decrease in the price of "night bus" tickets starting April 1.
The night mini buses operating throughout the night from Friday to Sunday will now accept E-talons ticket rides that cost €1.15 per ride at newsstands.
Previously you could only pay in cash, and the price for cash payment still remains the previous €2.
