Weekend will get sunnier in Latvia

The weather in Latvia will become sunnier over the weekend, with warmer afternoons and frosts in the mornings, according to forecasts.

Winds will be slow and variable, with frequent windless nights and mornings, leading to dense fog.

Minimum temperatures will be mostly -2 C to +4 C on the weekend nights, with some warmer temperatures along the Gulf of Riga coast from Kolka to Riga. Frost at grass height is expected.

In the afternoon, the maximum temperature will be in the range of +11 C to +15 C.

Next week will be generally warmer, but temperatures will rise very gradually. Nights will be slightly warmer early in the week, frosts will taper off and are not expected from midweek, while afternoons will become warmer in the second half of the week, with temperatures above +15 C in many places.

There will be no showers early in the week, but fog will form at night and in the mornings, with rain expected at times starting midweek.
