On Monday, clouds will be variable, with brief showers and heavy thundershowers in places mainly in the east of Latvia. The prevailing winds will be from the west-northwest, gusting up to 15-19 meters per second (m/s) during thunderstorms. The minimum air temperature will be +11C +15 degrees at night on Monday, warmer on the coast at +15 C to +18 degrees, while during the day it will warm up to +17 C to +22 C.
On Tuesday, short showers are expected overnight and in the morning, as well as heavy thundershowers in some places. However, the weather will improve on Wednesday, with light showers in the east in the afternoon.
During the night on Tuesday, fog will thicken locally in eastern areas, impairing visibility. Tuesday will have a moderate north-westerly wind, which will turn from the north during the day.
At night, temperatures will stay at +11 C to +14 C , a degree warmer in coastal areas, and rise to +20 C to+24 C in the daylight hours.
Some sunshine will shine through the clouds in the second half of the week, with showers in places. The wind will pick up again at the weekend, gusting in places. Temperatures will remain similar overnight, but warm up to above +25 degrees during the day.
