Saturday and Sunday will be windy, with south-westerly, westerly winds gusting up to 10-15 meters per second, sometimes around 20 meters per second on the coast.
The highest temperatures are expected on Saturday when they will reach +7 C to +11 C. In some parts of Latvia, it will be the warmest November 16 in the history of meteorological observations. The national record for November 16 was in 1939 at 12.2 C in Skulte, Limbaži municipality.
On Sunday, the temperature will be in the range of +4 C to +9 C both night and day, and on November 18 it will be a degree cooler - around +2 C to +7 C.
Rain is expected at times throughout the day, but on November 18 the wind will slow down and come from the north-west.
Temperatures will tend to drop in the week after Independence Day, with rain and wet snow at times. A light layer of snow is likely in many places in the second half of the week.
