The prevailing winds will be southerly, south-easterly, gusty at10-15 meters per second along the coast.
Temperatures will reach +10 C to +15 C in the afternoon +1 C to +6 C at night, and up to 8 C on the coast, but will drop to -2 C in Vidzeme and Latgale over the next two nights - Thursday and Friday morning. Frost at grass height is also expected over the weekend.
South-westerly winds will pick up at the start of the next week. Monday will be clear, but Tuesday and Wednesday will be rainy at times. Consequently, nights will become warmer, but daytime temperatures will not change significantly.
Long-term forecasts still show that relatively warm weather will persist until the end of October and the first snow is not expected this month.
