On Saturday night and morning, fog will return in many places, but the day will be sunny. The minimum temperature will be +6 to 11 C at night and up to 13 C on the coast, while the daytime temperature will be 17-22 C.
Sunday night will be colder, but fog is unlikely to form as a drier air mass moves into our region. The minimum temperature will be +6 C to +11 C, in many parts of Vidzeme down to +2 to +5 C.
Frost is possible in places in Vidzeme and Alūksne highlands.
On Sunday afternoon the maximum temperature will be +14 C to +19 C.
Monday night will also be cold, with temperatures in the east of the country just a few degrees above freezing, with frost possible at grass level, but warmer air will return during the day with southerly, south-easterly winds, with afternoon temperatures of +18 C to +23 C. Tuesday will be even warmer, with temperatures at +20 C to +25 C in most of Latvia.
From the middle of next week, active Atlantic cyclones will start to set the weather in our region, so it will often be windy, and it will rain more often and get colder again.
In parts of Vidzeme, the average daily temperature already dropped below 15 degrees on Thursday and will remain so until at least Tuesday, which means that the meteorological autumn probably started Thursday in parts of Vidzeme, but summer is not over yet in the country as a whole.
