On Tuesday, a precipitation zone will approach the country and rain is expected in many areas.
Rain will continue over most of the country during the night into Wednesday, but will taper off during the day and is expected only in places in the eastern part of the country.
Winds will also pick up, with south, south-westerly winds gusting gently to moderately, turning from the west and south-west on Wednesday, gusting up to 15 meters per second. During the night on Monday, the air will cool down to -2 C to +3 C in the western parts of Latvia, while in the east it will be warmer, +4 to +8 degrees.
However, temperatures will rise slightly over the next few nights, staying above zero, even as high as +10 C in coastal areas.
During the daylight hours, however, the air will temperature will remain within +10 C to +14 C.
The second half of the working week will see variable cloud amounts and a decrease in precipitation, with only light rain expected in places. Winds will gradually decrease and mainly blow slowly to moderately from the west-southwest. On both Thursday and Friday, the minimum air temperature will be +6 to +12 C. During the day, the air will warm up to +11 C to+14 C.
At the weekend, the atmospheric pressure will rise even more. The sun will alternate with clouds and precipitation is not expected. There will be a slight breeze.
