Early next week the weather will remain similar. Current forecasts suggest that the second half of the week could turn slightly colder, with wet snow replacing rain in places, but persistent frost and snow are not forecast at this time.
The meteorological autumn continues in Latvia, with only 1-3 days of average daily temperatures below freezing last week when colder weather and snow arrived. For a meteorological winter to start, the frost must be more persistent, with at least five consecutive days with average temperatures below zero.
