Take note – story published 5 years ago

This week the weather in Latvia will be rather changeable, with Monday alone likely to bring rain, snow, sleet and possibly even sunshine, according to forecasters.

Maximum air temperatures will be between +3 and + 8 degrees Celsius, with a moderate westerly wind.

The coldest weather is expected on Tuesday, when even in the afternoon the temperature will be just a few degrees above zero, and many places will experience some late-season snowfall, though it is unlikely to settle for very long before melting away.

On Tuesday night the sky will clear, sending temperatures below freezing but on Wednesday thigns will start gradually to warm up and temperatures could reach + 7 C.

In the second half of the week, the weather will be mostly sunny and temperatures will continue to climb so that on Friday and Saturday they will be +10 C in many places and as much as + 15 C in real hotspots.

However, the longer-range forecast shows that during the first days of April, colder weather is expected once again...
