Cold and calm week in store

This week will be calm and dry and, starting from the latter half of the week, it will also be quite cold, forecasts say. 

An anticyclone will bring calm and fine weather with lots of sun. As the winds will die down, fog and hoarfrost are to appear as well.

Nighttime temperatures will be at -3..+3C, and -1..+4C during the daytime until Wednesday, and dropping slightly to -5..0C on Thursday and Friday and -6..-9C in the eastern reaches at night. 

While a veritable freeze is to set in on the weekend with temperatures dropping to -10C.

Freezing temperatures are expected to hold at least until mid-January.
