Take note – story published 8 years ago

The weather will remain relatively stable until the weekend, while on the weekend cold weather systems will be entering Latvia, making the weather much colder, reported LSM's weather man Toms Bricis.

On Monday the whole of Latvia is seeing precipitation in either frozen or liquid form, while until Thursday there'll be no significant precipitation even though it'll be somewhat cloudy.

Air temperatures until Thursday will be -2..+3C at night and +2..+7C during the day.

While Friday will see a cold weather system cross Latvia, followed by cold air masses, bringing snow and causing a plunge in temperatures.

Friday will see temperatures of -2..+3C during the day and night alike, while on the weekend air temperatures will fall to -3..-8C at night, with daytime temperatures at -2..+3C.

Forecasts can vary, but there's a chance that the cold spell will last a week starting from the weekend, with temperatures reaching -10C.
