Cool weather to persist in Latvia next week

Take note – story published 1 year ago

Weather will remain mostly cool in Latvia over the next week, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

Early Saturday morning, temperatures in most parts of the country will slip below zero, down to -4 C, warmer on the coast. The air will warm up reaching +8 C to +13 C in the afternoon.

Sunday will be cloudier, with local rain. At night there may be frost in Vidzeme and Latgales. During the day, the air temperatures will reach +9 C to +14 C.

Monday will be relatively warm, reaching +10 C to +15 C in many places but from Tuesday, it will get cooler again.

April was by about 1.2 C cooler in Latvia than the climate norm, and this is already the third consecutive year with a relatively cool April. Long-term forecasts show that May's average temperature will be around normal – the first half of the month will be considerably cooler, but the second part of the month could finally lead to warmer weather.
