This week, dry weather will start in Latvia, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Monday and Tuesday there will be slight rain, but the next week will pass without significant rainfall, and the weather will be sunny and warmer.

In the first half of the week, temperatures will still range between +8 C and +13 C at night, warmer on the coast. In the afternoons it will be gradually getting warmer, up to +20 C to +25 C on Wednesday.

Air temperatures will continue to rise in the second half of the week, reaching +22 C to +27 C on Thursday, and +25 C to +30 C over the weekend. Nights will also get warmer.

Significant rain is not likely to reach Latvia before August 17.

Currently, the driest region is the southern part of Kurzeme, but in the east, the drought will not have as much impact.

Due to the drought, fire risks will increase in Latvia's forests, so special care should be taken with the fire.
