This week the weather will get colder in Latvia, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, there will be a small amount of precipitation – rain, sleet in the east, but it will not be enough to cover the ground.

Drivers have to take note that roads will be slippery in places, and the greater risk of ice will be on Tuesday and Wednesday, when precipitation and moist air are expected.

On Tuesday the temperature will range between +5 C to +9 C, in the east +2 C to +4 C, but on Wednesday only around zero at night and up to +5 during the day.

Weather will be dry in the second half of the week but the temperatures will fall as low as -5 C at night and fluctuate around zero during the day.

The major part of Latvia will have the meteorological winter set in November 17, as the average daily temperature will fall to zero and below, and forecasts indicate that it will remain for at least five days.

Air temperatures in Latvia will tend to rise slightly towards the end of the month.
