Gradually warmer weather week in Latvia

Weather will gradually become a little warmer in the second half of this week, according to forecasts.

Until Wednesday, the air temperature at night will be in the range -9 Celsius to -4 C, on the coast up to -2 C, but during daytime mostly between -5 C to -1 C, coastal to +1 C. It will snow a little, but the snow layer will not increase significantly.

Warmer air will flow into the region during the second half of the week. In some parts of Latvia, there will be some snow and sleet, and rain on the coast. The air temperature at night will range from -7 C to -5 C in the east of the country to approximately zero on the coast, but it will fluctuate around zero on days throughout Latvia, sometimes a few degrees above it.

There will often be ice on the roads, so drivers should be cautious.

The sky will be mostly overcast, and the winds slow, mainly from the east and southeast.
