Due to cold and tranquil weather, Riga is covered by smog. Visibility is reduced, and the sky has assumed a tinge of gray, reports LSM's weather man Toms Bricis February 23.

LTV's webcams show the layers of smog, prominent at the height of about ten as well as a hundred meters. 

This is not the first time smog occurs over the Latvian capital.

While forecasts say stronger winds should disperse the stink cloud in the afternoon and the evening, it could return next week.
