The morning will be mostly sunny, but in the afternoon there will be more cloud and in many places brief thunderstorms can be expected. The prevailing wind will be a slow and changeable, but during storms sharper gusts are possible.
Maximum air temperatures on Monday will be from +24 Celsius to + 29 C.
From Tuesday a noticeable change will take place in weather patterns. The country will be crossed from the west by a cold atmospheric front, so that midweek will be characterised by temperatures in the +17 C to + 21 C range, strong winds and frequent rainfall.
Wednesday and Thursday will be the coolest days of the week and on Thirsday it is unlikely anywhere in Latvia will record temperatures above 20 C.
The end of the week and the weekend should see things improve with the wind easing off and temperatures starting to climb once more so that by Sunday we may be back at the hot and steamy conditions with which we start the week.
