Summer to bid farewell with a great weather week in Latvia

Take note – story published 4 years ago

The final week of the school summer holidays should be a good one, with plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Monday will be sunny and hot with slow winds, other than a few sea breezes.

Air temperatures will be +22 Celsius to + 27 C, though in places in the south of Kurzeme and Zemgale could even be a couple of degrees hotter.

Indeed, this will remain the pattern throughout the weather week with daytime temperatures in the mid to high 20s.

As the wind will be light and nights clear, fog will often form. Night temperatures will drop to +12 C to + 17 C degrees, though the east of the country will be somewhat cooler at +8 C + 10 C.

More clouds will be around on Thursday and Friday, with occasional rain and thunderstorms, but this will only be in small, localized areas.

Current forecasts suggest that when the schools return in early September time, temperatures will drop and there will be more cloud. So enjoy it while you can, kids!
