Unusually cool April in Latvia

Take note – story published 1 year ago

So far, the highest air temperature in Latvia this year was 19 degrees recorded on the afternoon of April 21 in Rīga. The last time April passed without hitting 20 C was 30 years ago, in 1992, according to weatherman Toms Bricis.

It will become considerably cooler throughout Latvia starting Sunday. Temperatures over the next few weeks will mostly be within +8 C to +13 C in the afternoons. Rainfall is expected more often, even wet snow.

At night the temperature will be close to zero, a small frost is also expected for a few nights, some places even below zero.

A significant increase in temperature could be expected from May 3 to 5.
