Unusually warm beginning to November in Latvia

This week will not be as warm as the previous week in Latvia, but the air temperature will remain well above the seasonal norm, according to forecasts.

The average air temperature in Latvia could be at around +8 degrees in early November. The average air temperature of 1991-2020 in the first decade of November is +3.7 degrees, according to data from the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center.

The peak air temperature in the first half of the new week is expected to range from +6 C to +10 C in the east of the country and +11 C to +14 C in Kurzeme; in the second half of the week, it will mainly stay below +10 C.

The air temperature at night and morning hours will be +5 C to +10 C, but as the sky clears, it will fall a few degrees below.

Near mid-November, the probability of frost will increase, but most likely temperatures will stay above the norm.
