The weather warning for snow and blizzards applies to the whole country and includes areas with a yellow warning (potentially dangerous) and orange warning (dangerous). In western coastal districts near Cape Kolka there is also a high wind warning.
Driving conditions remain difficult across the country. On December 10, Latvian State Roads (LVC) said that while most major roads were "satisfactory", many regional and local roads are still covered with snow and ice, especially in Vidzeme and Latgale.
