Weather week in Latvia: cool start, warm and dry finish

At the beginning of the week, the weather in Latvia will be cool and rain is expected, but from Wednesday conditions will improve and there will be a sunnier and warmer period, according to the forecast of LSM's resident weatherman Toms Bricis.

Monday will be characterised by mostly cloudy weather, with skies slightly clearer in eastern districts. a slow wind of 1-5 meters per second will blow and there will be occasional scattered rain showers. Maximum air temperatures will range from + 22 Celsius to + 27 C, slightly cooler on the coast.

The cloudiest and coldest day this week will be Tuesday, when the skies will be mostly cloudy, it will rain in many places, and in some places in the central and eastern part of the country the rain will be prolonged. The air temperature will be from +16 C to + 20 C degrees, perhaps a few degrees warmer in the east.

From Wednesday the weather will become sunnier and mainly dry, although occasional brief showers are possible. the dry spell could last into Sunday.

The wind will be slow all week. The air temperature in the second half of the week in the afternoons will reach +20 C to + 25 C degrees generally, and in some places up to +27 C.
