Until at least the beginning of November, the weather will remain really warm in Latvia, and snow is not expected, according to forecasts.

Average air temperatures will also be above the climate rate for the remainder of October, with warm weather likely to continue at the beginning of November.

Temperatures will also tend to rise a bit over this weekend: Saturday night +2 C to +7 C, day +6 C to +11 C, but on Sunday afternoon the air will warm to +8 C to +13 C. There will be no significant rainfall on Saturday, but on Sunday there will be a temporary drizzle in many places.

There will be no big change in weather conditions until the end of the month - the air temperature will mostly be within +7C to +13 C during the days, some warm afternoons in Kurzeme and Zemgale up to +15 C. At night, the temperatures will mostly stay within the range of f +4 C and +9 C.

October has been relatively warm so far. Between October 1 and 20 , the average temperature in Latvia was +9.4 C, which is almost two degrees warmer than the climatic norm.

Most often, the first snow appears in Latvia in the second half of October, but this year the first snow will be later than average in recent decades. Last year, the first snow covered the ground in Alūksne on October 24, while a year earlier, it was on October 19.
