Take note – story published 1 year ago

The weekend and next week will get hotter in Latvia, according to forecasts by weatherman Toms Bricis.

On Saturday and Sunday, the weather will be sunny, with no precipitation. The night to Saturday will still be cool with temperatures between +8 C and +13 C, but Sunday night will already be a couple of degrees warmer. In the afternoons, temperatures will rise to between +26 C and +31 C, slightly cooler on the coast in Kurzeme.

Next week, temperatures in the first half of the week will reach +27 C to +32 C in the afternoons. There will also be hot nights with the minimum temperature at +15 C to +20 C. Strong rain and thunder can occur locally. Drought will continue to dominate most of the country.

As of Friday, there is also an alert in force for heat, which will probably step up to orange or red alert for extreme heat. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight in the middle of the day, and remember to increase your intake of fluids.
