After leaving her native Riga for a year to join the Universal Ballet in Seoul, Evelina Godunova has returned home in triumph. Evelina has just won the gold medal in solo dance at the 13th International Competition of Ballet and Choreography held at Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre. The jury was chaired by the towering figure of Yury Grigorovich. The Russian president, as well as the president of Brazil presided at the gala concert, applauding the stunning performance of the Latvia-born, ethnic Russian artist.
