The number of third-country (non-EU) nationals seeking Latvian residency permits via expensive property purchases has declined significantly, reports Latvian Radio's Madara Fridrihsone.

Latvian Prime Minister Laimdota Straujuma (Unity) said in her party's faction meeting Thursday morning that she's ready to step down from her post, Unity faction leader and chairwoman Solvita Āboltiņa told journalists after the meeting.
