Food bloggers recommend Rīga restaurants

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA), in cooperation with the Investment and Tourism Agency of Riga, has backed a project which saw a pair of bloggers eat in dozens of Rīga restaurants and then give a brief verdict on them.

Restaurant critic Anders Husa, along with his life and business partner Kaitlin Orr, visited 23 catering establishments in Riga during a single week and gave their feedback. To showcase Riga's gastronomic menu, the guide includes caterers such as MAX Cekot, Tails, Barents, 3Pavāri, Kalve Cafe, Space Falafel, Kūkotava, Street Pizza, Molberts and Mīkla Bakery.

"Food is what drew us to visit Riga, and we were impressed by what we discovered. In recent years the city's culinary landscape has shifted, with many young chefs stepping up and opening exciting new concepts. Chefs dream big and aim high, using high-quality ingredients," said Husa of the project.

LIAA did not say how much money was spent on the blogging project.

You can read the very brief summaries of each eatery that are the results of the pair's digestive endeavors at the blog https://andershusa.com/.
