2.72% cast votes in first early voting day

A total 39,342 or 2.72% of the population eligible for voting cast an early vote in the municipal elections on May 31, according to data by the Central Election Committee.

From these people, 20,058 or 4.7% of the city's voting-age population voted in Rīga.  

In the 2013 municipal elections 29,922 people or 2.01% of the voting age population cast their votes on the first early voting day.

Three (3) days prior the election day for a few hours it is possible to attend the polling stations and vote beforehand.

Polling stations opened at 17:00 on May 31 and stayed open until 22:00.

On May 1 they are open 09:00 until 12:00.

On May 2 they are open 10:00 until 16:00. 

On June 3, polling stations are open from 7.00 a.m. till 10.00 p.m.
