Take note – story published 6 years ago

The life satisfaction levels of Latvia’s residents has hit an all-time high, a survey by SKDS pollster shows.

In the July 2017 poll respondents were asked to rate their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with their lives on a 10-point scale where 1 means “total dissatisfaction” and 10 “complete satisfaction”.

The survey shows that the average life satisfaction level has reached 6.91 points, which is the highest figure recorded in Latvia since 2005 when such surveys were started in Latvia. Over the past year, Latvians’ life satisfaction has risen by 0.1 points on average.

The lowest ever life satisfaction was recorded during the economic crisis in 2009 when it averaged at 5.55 points.
