Rīga Photography Biennial's exhibits open

On April 18, the Riga Photography Biennial was opened, addressing existential issues such as the impact of technology on human beings, human-nature relations, and the informative code of the contemporary image.

As of April 19, the exhibition hall “Riga Art Space” (Rīgas Mākslas telpa) will display the Biennial's central exhibition “Human Computer”, in which eight artists search for the essence of a modern human being that has changed due to the rush of life and the constant development of technology. The exhibition can be viewed until June 16.

Parallel is the exhibition “Vamp(yre) Reality” by British artists Lindsay Seers (UK) and Keith Sargent (UK), which focuses on the nature of consciousness and its impact on human life. The exhibition is on display until June 2.

Meanwhile, artificial intelligence and photography relations have been targeted by the exhibition “A Breaking Point, a Delicate Balancing Act,” which is seen at the RIXC Gallery from April 20 to June 15.

The program of the Biennial can be accessed on its official website.
