Warm weather will settle in Latvia this week

The weather in Latvia will remain warm in the coming days, according to forecasts.

Temporary rain is expected in places on both Tuesday and Wednesday, possibly including thunderstorms and some heavy downpours locally.

The air temperature will be +6 C to +13 C overnight Tuesday and Wednesday and up to +17 to +23 C in the afternoons.

It will be noticeably cooler along the coast as winds roll in from the water.

On Tuesday, the chill from the sea will affect mainly the western coast of Kurzeme, but the northeast, eastern wind will turn in on Wednesday, so it will be noticeably cooler on the Gulf of Riga Kurzeme coast, where temperatures will only hover around 10 degrees.

Forecasts for the second half of the week are still fluid for now, but warm weather is likely to remain at least until Saturday, May 4, plus the weather will be dry for the second half of the week.
