Monday, June 19:
Līgo garden at the Vērmanes garden with several "activity stations" will be open all day. Midsummer flower-crown weaving classes, lessons of traditional songs and dances, a crash course in herbs and torch workshops will be on offer. A concert will conclude the evening.
A pre-Midsummer Līgo song concert takes place at 18:00, with more Midsummer-themed activities like the making of traditional Jāņu cheese.
Tuesday, June 20:
A song and dance concert takes place 19:00 at the culture center Ziemeļblāzma, district of Vecmīlgrāvis.
In the center of the Old Town, Doma Square, a grand folk dance concert will be performed starting 19:00.
The cultural space Strops in Ķengarags district will offer a sing-along and dance-along with the youth folklore group Banga, starting 19:00.
Wednesday, June 21:
Traditional songs and rituals will be performed by several ethno and folk groups at the culture and recreation center Imanta starting 17:30.
The cultural space Strops in Pļavnieki district will offer Midsummer traditional rituals with the folklore group Putni, starting 19:00.
Open-air cinema will be on show in the cultural space Strops in Lucavsala recreation park, starting 20:00. The film on offer is the 1981 Latvian Midsummer classic A Limousine the Colour of Midsummer's Eve.
Thursday, June 22:
The traditional Herb Market will take place all day in the center, Doma Square, starting 9:00. The market will have flowers and plants from Latvian meadows as well as a culture program.
Friday, June 23 to Saturday, June 24:
On the day of Midsummer celebration, three popular-traditional events with singing, bonfires, and dancing will take place in the city: Mežaparks Green Theater, Grīziņkalns park, and Dzegužkalns Park. All celebrations will formally start at 20:00 and go on until the last one standing.
