Three for the Weekend: Mini-Festivals

This weekend Latvia can't wait for summer and is already hosting a few mini-festivals. If you too can't wait, here are a few tips for your weekend.

Indie Mini-Festival

On Saturday, March 23, at the "Angārs x Tu jau zini Kur" (Tallinas Street 10-3), Rīga, an indie music mini-fest will take place for lovers of all alternative.

The lineup includes Keitija Bārbale, Juris Simanovičs, and DJ TBA.

A street food kitchen, bar and recreation zone are also promised.

The event begins at 20:00. More information on Facebook.

Vecrīga Festival

On March 22 and 23, four bars and clubs of the Old Town in Rīga – B Bārs Restorāns, Cuba Cafe, Bārs Garāža, and Rīgas Ķirsis – will join to create a first "Old Town Festival" or Vecrīga Festival. However, the festival does not take place in all the bars or any of them – it will take place on Kaļķu Street 24, former Latvia Casino.

Comedians, musicians, and DJs are promised.

The event takes place Friday March 22 18:00 to 3:00 and Saturday March 23 20:00 until dawn.
