Poetry Midnight
A pre-party for the new year takes place Friday, December 29, at the Walters & Grapa pub (Miera Street 41) for those who want to get a little alternative.
As of 18:00 an "alternative new year radio" will play for everyone to get warmed up, but as of 21:00 DJ DUO PROZIT as well as several "mysterious" poets will arrive for a night of poetry and dancing.

Spilve Airport tour
Spilve Airport in Rīga is somewhat of a mysterious historical piece as of now, but it used to be the main airport, the first thing seen by visitors to the city.
On December 30, a tour of the airport's historical building and airfield will be held at 11:00, giving everyone the chance to find out more about the history and significance of the location.
The meetup spot is at the Spilve Airport building (Rīga, Daugavgrīvas Street 140).

New Year's Night Party
For those looking for a big party to await the new year, head to the Palladium Riga where the ''biggest open-air party' will be held. It will not really be outside, but the organizers promise a 'blooming atmosphere in the middle of the winter'.
The lineup involves DJ Toms Grēviņš, Krivenchy, DJ Mārtiņš Staķis, Apvedceļš, Chris Noah, Marko Ojala, and many more. Dress code: green accents, vests, and sunglasses.
