Ukraine's anthem rings out at Latvian Song Festival

Rehearsals July 5 for Thursday's grand choral concert at the Latvian Song and Dance Festival included a rousing rendition of the Ukrainian national anthem Shche ne vmerla Ukrainy i slava, i volia, as noted by the Latvian Foreign Ministry.

We look forward to an even more forceful version tonight and may the power of Latvian voices strengthen Ukraine's brave and heroic defenders.

UPDATE: On the evening of July 6, at the grand choral concert, 14,000 singers did indeed give an amazing and memorable rendition of Ukraine's anthem, as you can now see and hear in the video at the top of the page. Slava Ukraini!
