Updated 'Relocation Guide to Latvia' published

The Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) has published an updated 'Relocation Guide to Latvia' which, it is claimed, "features all the basics at a glance of moving to Latvia and everyday living."

The English-language guide is designed to help investors, foreign professionals, and even members of the Latvian diaspora overseas navigate through the process of moving to Latvia and integrating into the labor market and local culture and community.

The material is available at investinlatvia.org, in the section "Useful information – Moving to Latvia" and is also included here as a downloadable attachment.

The guide runs to more than 100 pages and includes sections on residency rules, healthcare provision, job hunting, public transport, starting a business, language learning and much more.

An introductory text reads:

"Latvia is a country where everyone has space to live their lives as they’ve imagined, with plenty of room for your own self expression. We’re a small, but mighty country when we come together, and boy do we love to come together when we’re facing a collective challenge. Be that in sports, in sadness, or pride of our achievements."

Another inducement to relocate promises:

"It’s completely feasible to take a sunrise walk in a bog and manage to be at the office by 9am, or decide to have your lunch at the beach and get there in 20min."

Investinlatvia.org is a website that presents investment opportunities in Latvia. Currently, the country focuses on high value-added industries, such as ICT, GBS, Bioeconomy, Smart cities, Biomedicine and Photonics and Smart Materials; therefore, the guide also targets industry professionals.

As reported by LSM at the time, an earlier edition of the guide was published back in 2021.
