Māris Vitkovskis, Chief Inspector of the State Police Special Tasks Division, said: “The State Police have been renting the electric scooters from local producers during the Song Festival, as it suits in urban conditions to get to a specific location or to locate drone pilots because normally we cannot predict where they'll be. It can be in different places. Sometimes we have to climb rooftops."
Latvia has also sent these scooters to Ukraine. They can develop speeds of 100 kilometers an hour. The vehicles tested by the police allow a speed of 25 kilometers per hour. If these vehicles prove to be useful enough during the festival, the State Police will also purchase them for daily use.
