The changes will affect 56 journeys – 28 from Jelgava to Rīga, and 28 from Rīa to Jelgava. The changes will be in effect until December 9, PV said.
According to PV, the JSC “Latvijas Dzelzceļ” (Latvian Railways, LDz) is currently implementing a project to increase the speed of train movement by performing significant modernization work on the railway section Rīga-Jelgava.
Due to these railway infrastructure modernization works, changes have also been made to the train timetable for 11 journeys in the direction of Tukums and one in the direction of Skulte.
The modified train timetable can be found on the “Pasažieru Vilciens” website and mobile app.
