During her visit, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya is meeting with the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, the Speaker of the Saeima (Latvian Parliament), Ināra Mūrniece, and members of the Saeima, the Prime Minister Krišjānis Kariņš, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, and the Mayor of Riga, Mārtiņš Staķis, as well as with former Chair of the Popular Front of Latvia, Romualds Ražuks.
The plans for Tsikhanouskaya’s stay also include an address to members of the Saeima and visits to the Support Center for Residents of Ukraine, the Museum of the Occupation of Latvia, and the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Office.
The visit kicked off Wednesday with several declarations of support for Belarusian democracy from Latvian officials.
