Ninth-grade exam requirements will stay same this year

This year, 9th grade centralized exam threshold for passing will remain the same as it was – at 10%, said Education and Science Ministry (IZM) on February 2.

It was initially planned that for both 9th and 12th grade centralized exams, the threshold for a passing grade would be raised to 15%.

For 12th-graders, the requirement will be 15% but for 9th-graders it will remain at 10%.

IZM explains the decision with "analysis of the previous exam session".

IZM has prepared the relevant amendments to be viewed by the government. The Ministry also said work was ongoing on the digitization of the exam system so that the evaluation, result entry and certificate receipt would run smoothly.
