SPKC said people should not rush to sign up in the very first days, as they will be sorted in accordance with priority groups anyway. Those applications not in priority groups will be processed randomly.
After the first hour of operation, there was an online waiting time of around 25 minutes to fill in an application. The SPKC said around 3,000 applications were being made per minute when the site first went live.
When a free slot has been allocated for an individual to be vaccinated, the applicant will receive a notification. If needed, the assigned time/date can be postponed up to 3 times.
This is just one of the ways in which people can apply for vaccination. In total, there will be four ways:
- on manavakcina.lv
- through a telephone hotline (not working yet)
- through a general practitioner
- through an employer
According to official figures by February 4, a total of 17,486 people have received the first dose of the vaccine in Latvia, while 10,827 have already received the second dose.
