The basic monthly benefits won't change and remain at €11.38 for the first child, €22.76 for the second, €34.14 for the third and €50.07 for the fourth and any further children.
However there'll be an extra monthly benefit, with €10 more for families with two children, €66 for families with three children and +€50 for any extra children beyond that.
For example, families with four children will get an extra €116 added to their monthly child raising benefit, the Welfare Ministry said.
