On Monday evening temperatures will start to rise. As early as Tuesday, there will be thaw in most of the country, with maximum temperatures ranging from -1 C in eastern Vidzeme and Latgale to +3, +4 C on the coast in Kurzeme.
Temperatures will be a few degrees above zero across the country on Wednesday.
Colder air will come to us over the weekend with gusty northerly winds. As early as Friday morning, temperatures in many parts of Vidzeme and Latgale will slide below -10 C.
Precipitation, mostly snow, is expected more often over the weekend.
