A new downloadable publication from the Latvian Institute - the state agency tasked with promoting the country abroad - is on offer to give the uninitiatied a glimpse of all things Latvian.

As previously reported by LSM, it is titled "The Latvian ABC" and is based on the alphabet.

"THIS BOOK IS HERE TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND LATVIANS BETTER," the booklet promises, adding "After reading this, you will get 'the Latvian thing' wherever you are in the world".

The brochure can be downloaded in PDF format.
