Latvian named among ten most promising European directors

The European Film Promotion has named ten outstanding young directors from Europe. The list includes Latvia's Liene Linde with her film Seven Awkward Sex Scenes.

She's been given a chance to present her hilarious and moving film at the 52nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival in the Czech Republic, held from June 30 to July 8.

Liene Linde, whose diploma film won the 2014 Latvian National Film Award in student film, will present her postgraduate work Seven Awkward Sex Scenes. Part One about a young director's attempt to make her first film based on her own sexual experience.

Other directors in the EFP Future Frames spotlight include promising filmmakers from Finland, Georgia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, the Czech Republic, and Iceland.
