Latvia's national final will kick off at 17:00 Rīga time with seven Latvian companies presenting and defending their ideas to the jury, for the title of Latvian winner and a ticket (circumstances allowing)to the big PowerUp! Challenge final in Poland, where they will compete with finalists from 24 Eastern and Central European countries for a cash prize of €50,000 for the winner; second place €10,000; third place €5,000.
Over the past five years, InnoEnergy has supported nearly 200 companies, 121 of which are already selling their solutions, and has helped them raise external funding of EUR 117 million. In Latvia several companies have already received InnoEnergy support, such as Hygen, Mazzy, and Atlant 3D. Last year start-up Atlant 3D won the Latvian final, receiving the opportunity to participate in Grand Final in Krakow, Poland, where they won second place and a cash prize of € 10,000, competing with the top 14 startups.
